You were my best friend, my snuggle companion and a warm presence in my life from the moment you first came into my apt and spent the first day hiding under the bed. After that you wouldn’t sleep anywhere except right on top of me. We only had a year together and it feels cruel to lose you so quickly and suddenly. My heart hurts knowing I lost you to a disease I knew nothing about until it was too late. But we didn’t give up, you held on and fought my brave boy until we got to the ER, until you couldn’t hear me begging you to be strong and hold on anymore. You taught me what unconditional love is and for that I’ll always be grateful. Rest In Peace Finley.
